Happy Earth Day!

DSCN0206
Don Torino's latest post for wildnewjersey.tv is in honor of Earth Day.

Here's the beginning:

I am about to turn 60 years old this year, hard to believe. I love to tell the young people I work with that I was around for the very first Earth Day — they usually give out a big gasp in amazement that someone could actually be that old.

But I do remember the first Earth Day very well.  What I remember most is millions of Americans from all walks of life regardless of political party, where they lived, how old they were, how much money they made or didn’t make, joined together, organized and demanded a better environment for both people and wildlife.

It was a movement that gave many good people the opportunity and political strength to enact laws such as the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Water and the Clean Air Act, laws that we all reap the benefits from today.

Amen. The link is here.
