Alice The Eagle in Action

  207A1123
When Ron Shields and I were at the Ridgefield Park Bald Eagles nest earlier this week, we discovered two things:

A: The nest tree is really leafing out, making viewing the family really tough.

(That's Alice perched above the partially obscured nest. We can tell because of the antenna on her back.)

B: Alice the Eagle flew across the Overpeck and stood in shallow water along the shoreline for roughly 25 minutes before returning to the nest. She took a drink or two and walked on shore for a few minutes, But that was about it.

Ron took all these shots. Thanks, Ron! Photo gallery follows.
