Following up on my post of Tuesday about rescuing Great Horned Owl in Washington Township, The Raptor Trust reports:
The owl was seizuring the night he came in, which is usually a bad sign.
We gave him diazepam for the seizures, but I'm very sorry to have to tell you that he died overnight his first night here.
Jim, you did the right thing, and you brought him to a special place. Bless you for giving him a chance. You are good people. The cycle of life takes many twists and turns. Although brief, this owl came forth and then departed. We will surely see him/her again!
