Duke Farms' Bald Eagle nest tree was struck by lightning on Sunday — putting the nest cam out of commission and making a lot of eagle admirers very nervous since one of the two eaglets had not yet fledged.

Duke Farms' Charles Barreca got permission to look at the tree today, and was encouraged by what he saw. The nest tree did not not sustain any visible damage, and the nest itself appeared OK.

What's more, Charles saw one of the young eagles flying nearby.
