My Column: State Line Hawk Watch
A view of State Line Lookout and the Hudson River beyond in Alpine. By Jim WrightSpecial to The Record |…
Have seen quite a few butterflies and moths in Fred Field (Green Way entrance) this week, including an Indigo Duskywing, black swallowtail, Red Admiral, sulphurs, Cabbage Whites and Hummingbird Clear-winged Moths.
The moths were by far the most cooperative, but it is their week.
Our annual butterfly walk last Saturday was practically nil, it was cloudy. But I went back in the afternoon when the sun came out and had just what you had plus Eastern Tiger Swallowtails and Northern Broken Dash!
Love it when the prob gets that curl!
