New Allendale Ghost Story, Celery Farm Talk on Monday

Celebrate Halloween early.  Join local DSCN9406ghost-story writer Jim Wright on Monday night, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. at Allendale’s historic John Fell House for a reading of his new ghost story, “The Drownling,” and a slide show on his two favorite places, the Fell House and the Celery Farm. The event is free and open to the public.

“The Drownling” takes place in Allendale on Halloween night in 1944, and a key scene takes place at the Fell House.

Jim’s slide show is all about the historic John Fell House and the nearby Celery Farm Natural Area, where Jim serves as deputy warden.  Free ginger snaps and apple cider will be served. The Fell House is located at 475 Franklin Turnpike. Contact Jim at 201-760-0804 for more information.
