Today Is National Vulture Day!

Img535-001
As every schoolchild knows, March 1 is National Vulture Day.

Many folks go to Stateline Lookout in Alpine to celebrate, or put out roadkill. But not all of us have that kind of free time.

Thus, in order to help young and old alike celebrate, here are an old cartoon (above) and an old joke (below).

Q. What kind of luggage do vultures use?

A. Carrion.

Help spread the word. (Not to be confused with International Vulture Awareness Day, held annually on the first Saturday in September.)

Do you have a vulture joke to share on this special day? E-mail me at celeryfarm(at)gmail.com.

Please, no condor jokes at this time.
