Red-shouldered Hawks

Free Talk, Friday, March 25, 8 p.m.

 The legendary Stiles Thomas and sidekick Jim Wright tell the story of these endangered hawks' efforts to survive — and thrive — at several locations in Allendale or nearby Ramsey over the past 15 years.

The program will feature a talk by Jim, comments by Stiles, photos of Laura and her mate taken by Fyke Nature Association members, plus a real-live Red-shouldered Hawk carving done by Stiles.

There will also be a major announcement about the hawks.

The free program is at 8 p.m., March 25, at Allendale Borough Hall, 500 W. Crescent Ave., Allendale. A reception for ace Celery Farm birder Rob Fanning will follow the 40-minute program.

Note: Stiles says only a total fool would miss this event.
