Duke Farms Eaglet Banding Is Streaming Today

https://dukefarms.files.wordpress.com/2016/05/oldest-banded-bald-eagle-2015-2jpg-ddfb72936068d7ef-001.jpg
Today (Monday, May 9) beginning after 9:30 a.m., the two Duke Farms eaglets will get banded and receive a medical exam, with the banding streamed live on the Eagle Cam Ustream channel.

The eaglets are now approximately six weeks old.  The young birds stay in the nest for approximately 10 to 12 weeks, until they are large enough and strong enough to leave (fledge).

You can learn more in the free on-line e-book I did for Duke Farms.

The chapter on banding is here, just a click away.

The chapter includes:

      • An interview with Bald Eagle expert Kathy Clark, who will participate in Monday’s banding
      • Two videos on a previous Duke Farms eagle banding
      •  A link to an update on some of Duke Farms  banded eaglets.
