Paddle Trip on Spatterdock Marsh Is Sunday

Today is the last day to register for Sunday's Bergen SWAN paddle on usually off-limits Spatterdock Marsh on the Hackensack River in nearby Rockland County.

Ron Shields and I did a two-hour scouting paddle on Thursday — what a great place.  Took these pix yesterday — great looks at Eastern Kingbird, Tree Swallows, spawning carp (they know how to make a splash), Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, and some magical spots. (Bird list follows.)
