Pileated at the Celery Farm

IMG_7679Tom Mitchell writes:

We didn't see the Northern Waterthrushes that Judy told Fred about, but we saw the Pileated and the Glossy Ibis and lots of orioles and Yellow Warblers and a nice look at a Common Yellowthroat on our mid-morning walk.

The Pileated was downstream from the Spillway.

More of Tom's Celery Farm pics from yesterday are here:

  • I am going to cry now. The one bird that I have been wanting to see for so long that I have never seen and I am recovering from surgery. I am grounded for two weeks…I cannot drive or anything. And there is the pileated woodpecker at the Celery Farm. I cannot believe my bad luck that I cannot get over there to see it. Forget the pain from the surgery…this is REAL pain. But thank you so much for sharing these pictures. They are wonderful. At least I got to see it.
