Last year, three William Paterson University students in Wayne did an independent research project at nearby High Mountain Park Preserve, using motion-sensitive trail cams to see what kind of mammals were living in the 1,260-acre natural area.
Laura Botero-Antia, Samantha Craig and Dan Hansen had a few surprises, to be sure — including a flying squirrel who dropped by while they were working on the cameras.
The trio were nice enough to share their experiences and their photos with me for a new post on The Nature Conservancy's New Jersey blog.
