When friends had trouble locating the Green Heron in all the foliage by the Spillway on Saturday, I committed a birding no-no and pointed.

The Green Heron was too young to know any better, so it stuck around, but a dragonfly alighted on my finger as if to emphasize — "He's over there! He's over there!"

As Sally Teschon noted, Green Herons love to eat dragonflies.

Clearly, this guy was glad to help point out his nemesis. (Or am I projecting again?)
