I heard a report that Jim Kuehlke saw a Common Gallinule today so rushed to the Pirie Mayhood Tower on a gloomy afternoon with my spotting scope and tracked it down across the lake and a bit to the right.

The gallinule is fourth from the left, with a 400mm lens.

Below is the same photo cropped…  for ID purposes…  Fred Weber apparently saw a Brant at the CF as well.
