Hat’s Off to Rob Fanning!

A little birdy told me that Fyke's own Rob Fanning saw a MacGillivray's Warbler in Monmouth County this week.

I also hear that there is only one other state record in NJ, according to the NJBRC website.

The bird stayed in Cape May for a two-month period between November 1997 and January 1998.

Way to go, Rob!

More on MacGillivray's Warblers here.

It’s the Mac Daddy of warblers. I wish I had a video of how excited Rob was when he found it!
