Monday Morning Mystery: 012218
Any chance you can identify this bird — or know someone who might? It was shot in December 2004 in Los Angeles near the coast.

Definitely NOT a Western Tanager (thanks, Fred, anyway). Lesser Goldfinch, and verified by Fred after seeing all the pics!

Bird was seen near Los Angeles… I’d think horses, not zebras… :- )

I am going to change to the Eurasian siskin, male.

It resembles an Olivaceous siskin just a bit. I have a question…did she bring out the color of the yellow in editing? Would anyone agree that it looks a bit like a siskin?
