Where Eagles Soar (Philly!)

IMG_9633
I am a Philly boy, and a lifelong Eagles fan. I even sold orange drinks at Eagles games at Franklin Field, which goes back a ways.

I was pretty young when they won their only NFL championship back in 1960 with Norm Van Brocklin and Chuck Bednarik (beating Green Bay 17-13). And I suffered through their ups and downs (and two Super Bowl losses) ever since.

So when I saw the young Bald Eagle fly across DeKorte Park and land on a tower yesterday morning just long enough for me to get his picture, I wondered if it was an omen.

Maybe, maybe not.

But I knew the Eagles have had made some amazing comebacks, in the Meadowlands and elsewhere over the years, so perhaps it was fitting that they soared yesterday morning and last night.
