A Successful Cleanup!
Hats off to everyone who helped on this morning's cleanup.
At least 10 of us chipped in and picked up litter, trimmed the trails, cleaned out the spillway drainage area and cut away the poison ivy on teh trees along the Warden's Watch peninsula.
Pictured above, left to right: Mimi Brauch, Doug Morel, Patty Finn, Marsh Warden Mike Limatola, Phil Dahlen, Deputy Warden Gaby Schmitt and Tom Mitchell
Not pictured: Diane Van Kempen, Sue Doughtery and Seymour Drakes.
Apologies if I left anyone out. Pictured below: Part of the stuff we hauled out, as well as a boot we found literally stuck in the mud in the Dead Zone.
Fortunately no one had to gnaw off their ankle to get free (that we know of)… The price one pays for ignoring signs and illegally going off trail.
If anyone would like to reclaim the boot, it's at the end of Green Way for now.
