The Big Dead-Fish Clean-Up
A huge thank you to the volunteers who pitched in yesterday to remove all those dead fish from the Celery…
When I participated in a mushroom-foraging event at the John Burroughs Nature Sanctuary on Saturday, one of the experts showed me what's known as bird's nest fungus.
It sure was aptly named — and it was so small that it belonged next to a doll's house.
More on this amazing fungus here.
This is the most charming fungus ever! I read up on it and it was said that the Indians used it to stimulate fertility. Not poisonous.
That is amazing and so tiny it could go into a doll’s house!
