The Peregrine Continues
While George Karelitsky and I were parting the sea of phragmites in front of the Pirie-Mayhood Platform this morning, we were rewarded with a great look at a low-flying and fast-flying young peregrine.
Even better, Lynn McKenzie got this shot of the youngster perched in another part of the Celery Farm.
I was able to read part of the state band on the left leg, a 4 over a C. The aluminum band on the right leg is a federal band with nine tiny digits, usually impossible to read.
Thanks, Lynn!
If you see this guy and have a telephoto lens, please try to get the rest of its leg band!
