The Big Dead-Fish Clean-Up
A huge thank you to the volunteers who pitched in yesterday to remove all those dead fish from the Celery…
Came across a seascape painting of Cape May at the Woodmere Art Museum in Philly last month.
I am trying to figure out what the bird in the painting is… Any ideas?
Had three nice response — petrel, albatross and gannet. I liked the "gannet' response from Diane Louie, which included a nice bit of research. She wrote:
BTW, the same museum has another painting by Briscoe, "Cod Fishing on the Banks", where Gannets are depicted (it seems to me) more clearly….
