Here’s to LightHawk!

LightHawk is an incredible non-profit group with 300 pilots who donate their time and aircraft for conservation goals. I recently posted several aerial photos I took, with their help.

I first worked with them in the Meadowlands for the former N.J. Meadowlands Commission, where their photos helped prevent a developer from building on the site of a bald eagle nest and found places where illegal dumping was occurring.

More recently, I've taken LightHawk photos for The Nature Conservancy in New Jersey, including their wetlands conservation along the New Jersey Shore, dam removals and habitat restoration along the Paulinskill, as well as photos of their major preserves from High Mountain in Northern New Jersey to South Cape May Meadows in the south.

I am proud to be affiliated with LightHawk, and can't thank them and their dedicated pilots enough.

A special thanks to LightHawk's Jonathan Milne, who works behind the scenes to make these flights soar. (Thanks, Jonathan!)
