I didn't want to have too many recent columns in my new free ebook. "The Best of the Bird Watcher," so I did not include my column about Wilson's Snipes, a definitely excellent bird.

After I wrote the column, I didn't see one again until at the Celery Farm last month, when I accidentally spooked one on the Black Rail Trail.
