About Spotted Lanternflies
Until yesterday, I had never seen an actual Spotted Lanternfly, an invasive bug that has hit southeastern Pennsylvania.
While visiting a friend in that region, I saw one on his glass door and try to capture it unsuccessfully.
I later saw one on a nearby sidewalk and crushed it, which is what you are supposed to do when you encounter one. (You are also supposed to report the sighting, which I did.)
They were brought to Pa. accidentally in 2014. They were recorded in New Jersey in three counties for the first time last year. Ugh.
