Nature Done Wright

On Monday I wrote:

Saw this fungus along Parnell's Path during the Butterfly Walk.

Any idea what it is? About the size of a tennis ball, maybe a tad smaller.

Based on my assumption that it was some sort of mushroom, several folks ventured a guess.

Marsh warden Limatola suggested that it was not a mushroom at all, but a Skunk Cabbage pod.

Upon further review, I agree. (Thanks, Mike!)
