Losen Slote Creek Park in Little Ferry is one of North Jersey's natural gems, one of the last patches of woods south of Route 46 in Bergen County.

I participated in a Bergen Audubon walk there with a small but congenial flock of birders.

Birds were hard to come by, perhaps due in part to all the land-moving work done along the Losen Slote (below). A bit of a shock teh first time I saw it.
