Massive Fish Die-off @ Celery Farm
A huge thank you to the volunteers who pitched in today to remove all those dead fish from the Celery…
A couple of weeks back, I wrote about the John James Audubon exhibits at the New-York Historical Society.
The room where his watercolors are displayed has a large blue-painted silhouette of a bird above the door.
What's the bird?
Northern Flicker — Audubon included a detailed study of the pointy tail feathers for his watercolor of the bird, which the silhouette captures
I thought grackle as well.
Every late winter we get one great tailed grackle at our feeder. Looks like our visitor.
