A friend sent a link to a terrific and timely post on wildflowers — notably the Dutchman's Breeches and a Celery Farm favorite, the Trout Lily.

Coincidentally, I had taken the photos above (no Trout Lily blooms, alas) in a woods in a nearby town this week. (My wife Patty found the Breeches,)
I wish I'd know about that queen bumblebee mentioned in the post when we saw the breeches. I checked my iPhone photos — no bee.
