I've seen Savannah Sparrows a lot in the Meadowlands but only once in Allendale.

Thanks to the Simendingers, who spotted two of them at Crestwood Lake, I saw my first of the year…

It was on the grass right by the beginning of the parking across from the Red Barn as you head for the nest boxes.
