I served as a counter at the State Line Lookout on Sunday.

Not saying it was a slow morning, but I didn't need all of my toes to count the migrating raptors during my (mostly overcast) three-hour stint.

I got a big assist from Karl Soehnlein, who can't get enough thanks for all the work he does scheduling the counters, tabulating the totals and doing a lot of counting himself.

By the way, if you haven't been to State Line, what are you waiting for? It is the one place you can take photos of raptors and ravens that are so close that sometimes you can't get the whole bird in the frame.
