The Memorial Day Flags Are Flying

American flags are flying on the lawn of Allendale's historic John Fell House for Memorial Day Weekend.

John Fell was a Founding Father who led the local resistance against the British in Northern New Jersey and was a prisoner of war for nearly a year.

Allendale's Celery Farm Nature Preserve was once part of his property and known as Fell's Meadow.

The flags in the Field of Flags were donated in memory of loved ones by area residents.
