Hooray For Clear-winged Moths

IMG_0350 (1)
Had a Snowberry Clear-winged Moth on a Butterfly Bush earlier this week.

These diurnal moths, and their reddish cousins, the Hummingbird Clear-winged Moths, are some of my favorites.

Many people who don't look closely mistake them for bees. It's easy to do.

In the photo, you can see why they're called clear-winged moths.

Hope to see some this weekend.
