Green Heron, Plus Waterthrush ID Request

_MG_4796Heard a report of a Little Blue Heron at a small pond north of Lake Appert. Did not see any at Phairs Pond so tried Blue Heron Pond. Did not see any, but heard and then saw this Green Heron, a treat.

Back at Phairs Pond, I had another Green Heron and a waterthrush, below. Have been checking Sibley on line for help, and leaning toward Northern. What do you think?

    Yo Jim . . .It’s just like the three baseball umpires discussing Balls & Strikes:
