Patty and I tried to check the trails at the Celery Farm but gave up quickly. Water was 10 inches deep on the trail. 

When a snapping turtle on the trail disappeared under water (the trail was now engulfed by Lake Appert) and headed toward us, we scrammed.

The Celery Farm is currently closed. Please stay away. 

You can't see where you are walking and can easily fall (and possibly drown).

We hope everyone survived this prolonged torrential downpour.
