More Monday Warbler Mystery Photos

There seems to be a mild debate whether this warbler that I photographed near the Celery Farm on Saturday was named after a city or a state.

Four hours after the bird appeared, I saw it again in the same area… (pix above.)

John Pastore reports that he photographed the bird below near the Warden's Watch the same day. We both wonder if it could be the same bird, and what it is. Thanks.

  • Nashville Warbler in the top two (see my amended ID for Jim’s earlier post).

  • I agree…. Thanks.

The bottom bird looks like a Northern Parula

  • Sorry, I misunderstood, I thought you saw it the same day in the same vicinity…. That’s different.
I agree on the color of the head…

  • John Pastore

To clarify, my photo was from Sep. 21st. To my eyes, I think two different species. The bird you photographed seems more tan-colored around the head, while ‘mine’ seems to be blue-gray. Serious birders, what say you???
